Since its creation in 1995, the National Charter Schools Institute, headquartered on the campus of Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan has worked with authorizers, boards, school leaders, teachers, policymakers and others to help charter schools provide children with the world's best educational opportunities.  The Institute delivers high quality programs and services to charter schools across the country while also developing strong partnerships with state associations.
 
The Institute helps charter schools improve student achievement and comply with the applicable laws across the nation by identifying and implementing effective strategies. The Institute takes a hands-on approach to delivering practical solutions to daily problems through its programs. The National Charter Schools Institute is made up of professionals with unparalleled depth and breadth of practical experience in the fields of education, charter public schools and business. Its professionals are nationally known and recognized for the quality of their work and their familiarity with the distinctive issues facing charter public schools. The National Charter Schools Institute is a 501(c )(3) nonprofit organization.
