Join these Board Trainings in Hawaii!
The Hawaii State Public Charter School Commission has partnered with the National Charter Schools Institute to develop workshops designed to strengthen and support the critical role of our governing boards in Hawaii's charter schools.
Join the Institute's board experts, Dr. Brian Carpenter and Mark Weinberg, in these engaging and informative board trainings, full of activities and resources that will support all governing boards on their journey of continuous improvement.
We highly recommend that all board members attend at least one session, and school leaders are also encouraged to register and attend.

Meet Our Board Experts
Brian L Carpenter, PhD, FAFE, CFE
In 1977, no one could have predicted that this high school drop-out would become one of the most influential voices in charter school governance. Now, 40 years later, however, Dr. Brian L. Carpenter's books, videos, podcasts, white papers, and conference presentations are considered authoritative by many authorizers, association leaders and other experts in the charter school sector.
Vice President for Leadership and Learning
Helping to lead in the charter and public education communities for over 20 years, Mark has served as an authorizer, management company director, school leader, teacher, board member, and so much more.
