A-GAME Agenda
October 24 | 1:30 - 4:45 p.m.
Room: TBA | Minneapolis, MN
1:30 - 2:30 p.m.
What does the data show us about school performance over the past three years? And how should authorizers respond to it?
We will look at state reported data for school years 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, and, 2021-22. We will look at what data points have shown some improvements (perhaps, for example, graduation rates) or declines, and those that are missing altogether (state testing data) and understand what this means for students, schools, and authorizers. Through a case-study approach, we will help you understand how to address the unique situation in your state when it comes to making decisions on renewal and your schools' pandemic recovery.
2:30 - 2:45 p.m.
BREAK and WELCOME to NACSA Charter Leaders and Coaches
2:45 - 4:45 p.m.
How do we navigate multiple perspectives on state testing, school culture, and equity when it comes to Accountability and School Quality?
We will hear from a wide variety of thought-leaders on what Accountability means to them and how authorizers can lead the way. Moving away from "group think", the comments we will hear will be outside of our A-GAME bubble. We will respond to the messages in small groups to build a better understanding and united tomorrow.
