About Bob
Bob’s been deeply involved with chartering since the late ‘90s when he helped develop, pass and implement New York’s charter law – both as a senior aide to Gov. George Pataki and leader of SUNY’s Charter Schools Institute in its infancy. A founding NACSA board member, Bob has advised and supported authorizers, state and national advocates, school leaders, boards, researchers and more, from CREDO’s game-changing charter school data analysis to NACSA’s One Million Lives campaign. A former member of the SUNY Board of Trustees, Bob served as Board President of the Troy (NY) Prep Charter Schools and currently sits on the KIPP Capital Region Charter Schools board. His commentaries have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, City Journal and other publications.
