Vashaunta has a rich history in K-12 education. After graduating from the College of Charleston in South Carolina, she began her career in education as a 2008 Teach for America Baltimore corps member, teaching high school biology and chemistry with Baltimore City Public Schools. After completing a master’s program at Johns Hopkins, she joined Scholar Academies charter management organization as an operations coordinator/manager serving schools in PA, DC, NJ, and TN. She then served DC Public Schools as a Director of Strategic School Operations, and also served the South Carolina Public Charter School District as Chief of Access & Equity, before going out on her own and becoming a dedicated executive coach and consultant in 2022.
