The Future of Learning and Work Is Being Built Now
The Bold By Choice Summit is bringing together the people shaping what comes next for students, schools, communities, and the workforce.
For every student, there is a moment when school begins to feel connected to something bigger. A future they can picture. Work that feels meaningful. A path that suddenly feels possible. Our responsibility is to create more of those moments and make sure opportunity is not left to chance.
That is why the conversation around pathways matters so much right now. Across the country, educators, employers, communities, and workforce leaders are rethinking how learning connects to life after school. Career pathways, work-based learning, apprenticeships, credentials, and stronger partnerships between schools and employers are not side conversations anymore. They are becoming central to how we think about what students need, what communities need, and what the future of work will demand.
The opportunity is bigger than helping students choose a career. It is about helping young people see a future for themselves and giving them meaningful ways to begin building it. That kind of work takes people who are willing to share what they are learning, challenge old assumptions, and build across traditional boundaries.
That is the kind of room we are creating at the 2027 Bold By Choice Summit.
From April 19 – 22 in Indianapolis, leaders from education, workforce, communities, philanthropy, policy, and industry will come together to learn from one another, make connections that matter, and explore what is possible when we stop treating education and workforce as separate conversations.
Pathways will be an important part of that work because the line between learning and work is becoming harder to draw. Students need experiences that open doors. Communities need stronger talent pipelines. Employers need people prepared for a changing world of work. The most promising ideas are emerging where those needs meet, and the Summit is designed to bring the people building those ideas into the same room.
The Call for Proposals opened October 31. We are looking for more than polished presentations. We want the idea you are testing, the partnership that changed what was possible, the lesson you learned the hard way, and the question your community is still trying to solve. The strongest sessions will come from people willing to share both what is working and what they are still figuring out.
Sponsorship opportunities are also open. For organizations working at the intersection of education, workforce, technology, philanthropy, community development, and opportunity, the Summit offers a chance to be part of something larger than an event. It is a place to build relationships, contribute to important conversations, and help create the conditions for more students to see and reach what is possible.
The future of education and work is already taking shape in schools, businesses, communities, and partnerships across the country.
