Educators have passed the first hurdle of reopening during an unprecedented time, but we continue to face many interconnected and complex problems. It is time for reopening committees to become continuous improvement committees; time to turn the aspirations that anchored planning into goals and quantitative and qualitative data-tracking systems; time to shift stakeholder engagement from informing the plan to informing what is working and what can be improved; time to identify the few big things we care most about this year and problem-solve how to make those aspirations a reality. to advance and preserve student learning across multiple instructional scenarios?
