Supporting a High-Quality Charter Ecosystem

The National Charter Schools Institute is thrilled to join Dr. Bernadine Futrell, Assistant Secretary for Equity and Discretionary Grants and Support Services, and Dr. Anna Hinton, Director Parental Options and Improvement, both from the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education, U.S. Department of Education. This exciting webinar, in which the Institute, along with its partners Momentum Strategy & Research and WestEd, will showcase New Mexico’s work in creating a charter-friendly environment for families and schools.

Through the Charter School Program Dissemination Grant, called A-GAME: Measure What Matters, the A-GAME core team has worked with the New Mexico Public Education Commission, Public Education Department, Charter Schools Division, Alburquerque Public Schools, and the Charter Schools of New Mexico to redesign their accountability framework and provide early warning information that recognizes the unique qualities of schools and incentivizes school improvement through supports, not regulations.
